I have a Panasonic 42 "720p plasma TV and the transition from DVD to Blu-Ray is like when I saw HD programming for the first time. The picture is so clear, vivid and detailed. I do not know how to lower DVD until I saw a Blu-ray. tax Movies as soon as another advantage of Blu Ray is the text clearer, so it is easier to read subtitles. The letters are less jagged a DVD.

This was my first Blu-ray player to buy. Got it for $ 136 with $ 50 Amazon gift certificates by banks reward program could not jus pass it on. The picture quality is excellent, I have no problems starting with the loading time for Blu Ray or DVD until. Good deal if you get below $ 200, a value more tho, thanks to Amazon.

I did some research on the internet and I saw good reviews for the opposition. I was frustrated with my Sony player, because on some discs, it would freeze or skip. When I got the Oppo, the packaging is clean and easy connection. The first thing I did was play all media types: blue ray, DVD, DVD-R, DVD + R, CD, etc. The opposition has worked perfectly all along the line on all my media! I was not so enthusiastic about a device, because my old VHS player to replace DVD. This product is fantastic. Another great feature is that the remote is backlit for night vision. You can not go wrong with this player is worth $ 500.00 I paid for. The only downside is that some people can find sources online movies like Netflix Stream not the player.

For starters, this unit has the potential to be the best Blu-Ray out there right now for the price. With a built-in wireless connectivity, streaming, Netflix, YouTube, media center functions, etc, etc, etc … BUT out of the box, in a certain number of minutes, the unit will freeze and then shut down. This problem occurs at regular intervals during the viewing of films, both Blu-ray, standard-definition DVDs or streaming of Netflix. I contacted support and they made me send for assistance. The unit is back and they put me again. Within a minute to see a movie in standard definition, it froze and stopped. I reboot the machine and 11 minutes and 26 seconds, the machine freezes and turns off. I contact support the next morning, and have the courage to tell me that there's nothing wrong with the device. In my opinion, if the device freezes and turns off while watching a film there is something wrong with the device.

Bought the OPPO and have not looked back. BD awesome and it's nice to be able to play some of my new SACD from my old drive is dead.
The player and the company are pending. This thing has been solid since I set it up. No problem …….. period. OPPO my questions answered quickly.
Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Never thought I would spend $ 500 for a player, but it was a bargin. I highly recommend this product!
