I bought this player for audio quality (rated A + by Stereophile via HDMI-October issue). Yet, I found the video quality is excellent when playing a DVD (not Blu-ray yet). It is much better than the Oppo DV981HD and Philips DVP-9000S (DVD player cost more than the Oppo BDP83), which was sold mainly in Europe and Asia in 2005. Except for its fast-forward and rewind, review the issues mentioned by others, I have no problem with the player so far.

Satisfied with my purchase. He received the time, liked what I got.
I wish that had WiFi instead of a need to RJ45 Ethernet connection, but I knew when I bought it.
Connected very well with my Panasonic plasma TV.

After much research I went with this BluRay player, which had rave reviews for its picture and sound, and the list of features WiFi. For the points I was very happy with this player. The Netflix feature is damn near perfect, and I had zero problems. YouTube service is useless, but it works. You can not work without your subscription with the player and was watching YouTube videos generic "popular", largely defeat the best feature of YouTube.

It’s embarrassing to be the one sitting on the side of the road waiting for your speeding ticket as hundreds of people, some you know and some you don’t, pass by. Most likely it is on a strip of road that you drive everyday and this just happened to be the day you got targeted by that laser gun.

This might be when you think about purchasing one of those little gadgets that will give you some notice when one of those “guns” are pointed in your direction. You might want to get a laser detector, especially after you see the amount of the speeding ticket.
